Former IAS officer and the principal architect of New Town, Kolkata. As Former Chairman NKDA and Former Managing Director WBHIDCO, he led the conceptualisation and execution of New Town as a model Green Smart City — including Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Eco Park, the Financial & Fintech Hub, and Bengal Silicon Valley. Diploma in Public Administration from ENA, Paris; physicist by training (Presidency College, Calcutta University, SINP).
Experienced community leader and visionary. Deep roots in New Town's civic fabric with the institutional relationships to establish NTFN's credibility from day one. As CEO, drives overall strategy, day-to-day operations, partnerships, and cross-functional execution to build the organisation with discipline and long-term impact.
Twenty-plus years in journalism — Sahara TV, Zee News Kolkata. Specialises in solutions journalism, fact-checking, and AI literacy. Thomson Reuters Foundation Fellow, recognised globally for development journalism. Brings deep editorial rigour, a teacher's instinct, and two decades of frontline journalism to every newsroom he builds.
Seasoned growth and business strategy leader. Previously founded and sold a tech startup, raised institutional capital, and advised blue-chip clients across geographies. IIM Kozhikode alumnus. Leads audience acquisition, distribution, platform expansion, and the systems needed to scale reach, revenue, and long-term growth.
